300 Miles Away

January 30, 2010

I lived in San Francisco for four years while I attended medical school.  I haven’t been back to visit ever since I moved back home, but one thing’s for sure…I definitely miss it! The cold gloomy weather that made for spectacular sunrises/landscapes, the muni, the bustling city, the energy, the smart cars and bikes, the wharf…. I don’t know…I just miss it.  All of it!

Morning Hike up in the Marina and the spectacular view

“The City” – (don’t call it “San Fran” or “Frisco”…it gets on everyone’s nerves)

Sutro Baths at sunset

The city from my window

Embarcadero….where I used to run

Night

And day…

And clouds…

And of course…. fog

Breathtakingly crazy!

Vegas never ceases to amaze.  A walking billboard…in its truest form

It’s a new year!  So many things going on and so many expectations for the upcoming year.  I know I always use the excuse that I’ve been super busy for not updating my blog, but work has totally been consuming my life.  Wake up at 5am?  Check!  Stay until 2 hours later than I really should?  Check!  Forget to update the blog and friends/family with my life?  Triple check!  I haven’t even touched my camera for the past several weeks either…and xmas pictures or new years pictures?  You guessed it…TOTALLY DID NOT HAPPEN!  I could blame work for the neglect, but I think part of it also has to do with the fact that there’s just a little bit of fatigue going on.  I definitely need to get the ball rolling again, so I’ll start with this mini post.
